#101 - (HolidayThrowback) Hong Kong & Macau

Ever since I was a little kid, my late father always brought us for a family holiday. Though it was only within Malaysia but it was fun nonetheless. Ar least I can brag that I've visited all 13 states in Malaysia. Have you?

Our favourite place would be Penang. So, it is no brainer why we keep going back to Penang every year.

Because of this annual tradition instilled by my late father, I developed interest in traveling. My ultimate place to be is no doubt is Mekah. That is another no brainer. Another place that I must visit before I die is Italy. But, Italy has to wait a lil bit longer. En. Suami and I plan to visit all the cities in Italy. Insya Allah.

My first oversea trip (using my own personal passport not group passport) was to Hong Kong and Macau. It was kind of impromptu holiday since Hong Kong was never in our plan. We went to The Victoria Peak, Raffles Bay, Stanley Market and Disneyland. And in Macau, we went to Senado Square, Ruins of St. Paul's and The Venetian.

We enjoyed the trip so much because we planned the itinerary ourselves without any help from any tour agent.

Will I revisit Hong Kong? Oh yeah. This time around I want to stay at Disneyland Hotel. Still not too old for Disneyland and Disney princesses!

Till then :)

#100 - Ramadhan 1434

28th Ramadhan.

How time flies. I could wish of so many things right now but as this moment I wish Ramadhan never leaves me. I misses a lot terawikh, didn't quite done with my Quran reading. I am truly disappointed with myself.

I am so jealous of my friends who are able to perform terawikh as much as they can and even woke up for Qiyam.

I could give so many reasons but I don't think anything could justify my lack of commitment in performing my Ibadah this time around.

Ya Allah, give me the opportunity to experience and embrace Ramadhan again, Ya Allah.

Ameen.

To my readers, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Maaf zahir batin. Do take the opportunity during this festive season to visit your relatives (near and far) and especially the elders.

#99 - Nutella Mug Cake

Assalamualaikum.

So my husband invited some of his cousins to come over last weekend for iftar. Initially we wanted to have our iftar outside but since one of them just had a baby , we decided to have it at home.

Being such an undomestic goddess, of course I opted for take-away. Like, I'm struggling to cook for 4 people, you can't expect me to cook for 10 people. We ordered 4 chicken mandy and salad from Saba' Restaurant and lamb vindaloo from Mughal Restaurant.

As for dessert, I decided to try something new. I made Nutella Mug Cake. Have it with vanilla ice cream. Oh sedapnya.

Everyone loves it and the most important thing, En. Suami loves it too. Makes everything worth it!

#98 - Snippets of the Week Part 7

Good day lovelies!

Here some snippets of what I've been up to for the last couple of weeks;

1) Although we are only on second week of Ramadhan, both of us are basically done with our raya preparation. By raya preparation, I mean our attire. Yeah, so semangat like that. The thing is, I sent all my materials earlier this year thinking I could wear them during my cousin's wedding and repeat them during raya but unfortunately, the tailor couldn't get them ready on time.

2) I learned (the hard, sad way) that not all people can understand my jokes. Regardless how long you know someone. Sad but true.

3) I'm beginning to enjoy my work. Alhamdulillah.

4) Since both En. Suami's aunt and uncle invited both us to join them for iftar every night, I only have the opportunity to cook for En. Suami during Sahur. So far, we have missed one sahur.

5) I seriously to catch up with my closet organizing, clothes folding and house cleaning.

6) I already applied for my hari raya leave and am planning to bake something for En. Suami's birthday which is on hari raya's eve.

That's all for now.

Till then.

#97 - The List

My current wish list:

1) A new phone; everyone around me seems to be getting a new phone so I kinda jealous. Haha. Boleh tak cakap macam tu. Yes, this is more like a nafsu because my current Blackberry works just fine.  En. Suami thought it’s better for me to get an Ipod rather than a new phone.  But then I have to carry BB and Ipod. Such a hassle.

Currently in love with Samsung. Be it S3 or S4.  I've been getting mixed reviews about these 2 phones. Some even suggested iPhone. Which phone do you think I should get?

2) A lot of new clothes; I could not fit most of my old clothes so I need a whole new collection. More modest and loose-fitting clothes. Reading Shea Rasol 's blog makes it even worst. I love all her dresses. Insya Allah, one dress at a time. Oh, I'm beginning to love palazzo pants too. Comfy, stylish and modest.

3) New shoes.  A lot of them.

#96 - Awkward

Went to a relative's wedding yesterday and bumped into a few of people that I haven't seen for such a long time. It was a lot of avoiding eye contacts, averting glances and awkward hi's and bye's. No more cheek kissing, shrieking to see each other.

How times have changed.

Do I miss the old times? Hell yes. But, now I know who to trust.

Most of the time, I wish I was somewhere else. Not just standing there, don't know what to do.

#95 - Happy Baba's Day

Yesterday, the world celebrated Father’s Day. Though there are still debates going around about how we can’t celebrate Father’s Day (or any other Days for that matter), I have my own stand.

I lost my father at the tender age of 14. Up until now, there’s a huge hole inside my heart every time I think about my late father.  I feel that I didn’t spend enough time with him; I didn’t get to treat him with my own salary, and of course, the fact that he was not around to give me away.

Growing up without him was tough. Not helping when he used to spoil me. I had a very huge standard when it comes to type of man I want to marry. I want that person to be like my Abah.

Alhamdulillah.  I married that person.

He has been a wonderful husband.  Now, an amazing father to our Little Star.

Recently, during our car ride from doctor’s appointment he told that “I hope I always know how to make Inas laugh”.

I almost cried when he said this and I told him, “You will always know how to make her laugh and smile. You are her Baba and her hero”

Happy Father’s Day, Sayang.

Please continue finding ways to make our girl smile and laugh.

Please continue to be our own Superhero.
